Round settings
Professional boxing uses 3-minute rounds with 1 minute of rest. Amateur bouts are usually 3 rounds of 3 minutes. For heavy-bag or shadowboxing sessions, many people use 2- or 3-minute rounds with 30 to 60 seconds of rest.

- Pro rounds — work 180, rest 60, rounds 12
- Amateur bout — work 180, rest 60, rounds 3
- Bag work — work 180, rest 30, rounds 6
- Muay Thai — work 180, rest 120, rounds 5
- MMA — work 300, rest 60, rounds 3
How it signals rounds
A long beep marks the start and end of each round, and three short beeps count down the last seconds, so you can keep your eyes on your training partner or the bag.
